Apex Rides Uncovered: Move & Metric explained

Kiran Gadiyar | 7 May 2021

Here at Apex, we divide our sessions into two categories - MOVE and METRIC. This is to make sure you’re getting the most out of your time, and you get to pick the workout you want. We thought it might be helpful to give you the lowdown on the differences between the two - it’s your workout, you’re in the saddle...

 METRIC SPIN RIDES

Push yourself and focus on the numbers in our Metric classes. These classes don’t feature weights or any complex choreography; it’s just you and the bike, plus some killer tunes obviously. Expect hill climbs and interval sprints as you get out of your comfort zone and watch yourself go from strength to strength.  In these classes, you will see your stats presented at the bottom of your screen, along with your recommended RPM and Resistance. Metric classes are a great way to track your progress. As you get stronger, record your results and keep coming back for more!

 MOVE SPIN RIDES

Our Move classes are all about a good time. Don’t worry; you’ll still be getting sweaty, but these classes are more about getting you grooving than tracking any numbers or specific stats. Some of our Move classes feature weights, so you can get those arms involved too. There are rides to suit whatever your music preferences, think All Out ABBA, Hip Hop Legends & Rock vs Rap Rides; you name it - we’ve got it!

All our rides range from 15 to 60 minutes, so whatever your schedule, carve out some time for yourself and ride with Apex.
